U.S. Olympian Meghan Kinney was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, on October 5th, 2010. At the young age of 21, she was forced to put on hold her Olympic career as an elite synchronized swimmer.
Having represented the United States at the Beijing Games in 2008 as the alternate, she had her eyes set on the podium in London 2012, which she called her games.
